A universe where beauty is experienced with simplicity and authenticity. Our jewelry embodies our philosophy: effortless elegance. A natural, accessible elegance that enhances without ever overwhelming.
TAKK is a verb meaning "to tie" in the Wolof dialect of Senegal.
TAKKAY is what one ties or binds, or more commonly a piece of jewelry.
At Takkay, we offer minimalist, high-quality stainless steel jewelry that is resistant to water, time, and everyday life. We also offer a delicate selection of gold-plated pieces for those who prefer a warmer, brighter sparkle.
Our TAKKAY are designed to be worn every day: lightweight, timeless, and easy to mix and match. Jewelry that complements your style, completes an outfit with a single gesture, and adds that subtle detail, that little extra that makes all the difference.
Takkay is more than just a brand:
it's a way of being, an art of feeling beautiful... naturally.
It's effortless elegance, every day!
I love beautiful things, comforting dishes, disruptive travels, bursts of laughter, and long conversations; I'm a real chatterbox. Vain at heart, I love to dress up.
I've always found it easy to help others. I've put a lot of energy and a lot of heart into it… sometimes to the point of forgetting myself.
And then, a question always catches up with me: "And you, Aïda… what do you really love?" My only answer: "I love to eat, sleep, travel… and dress up." But professionally, it's hard to thrive in a job where that's all you do.
After being surrounded by entrepreneurs, creative and inspiring people, I finally took the plunge and found what animated me. Driven by my husband's support, I told myself: "Why not me? I have nothing to lose."
So I decided to try. To create something that reflects me, that I'm passionate about, that doesn't require huge capital but a lot of love, instinct, and courage.
It was from this impulse, this mix of audacity, gentleness, and the desire to exist for myself, that TAKKAY was born.
A brand that tells my story, my effortless elegance, and this simple yet powerful decision: to choose myself.
